new to this forum site but not new to linux
Ive got about 35 years experience in computer technology
a lot of knowledge in dos, ms, and a fair bit in linux.
I hope to bring some info on hardware issues and the solutions
or at least good explanation of hardware function

Welcome indeed. I see you bring a lot of experience to the table. I think that is fantastic
