Gentlemen and ladies, I've had a heckuva time installing Fedora 12 because of this right here.
Any suggestions? First, it finds the hard drive that I install it to way out of whack. I ran an ll on it from my front drive, and it reported all kinds of wierd stuff. Now, I try to upgrade from F10 to F11, and the rpm db hoses on me.
What can I do to get this thing installed and running? I must keep /home as reiserfs, so can't format it, but neither F11 nor F12 supports reiserfs...
And round and round we go...

I just upgraded to kernel 2.6.33.1-desktop-mnb in Mandriva Cooker 2010.1 x86_64. I am not sure but I think my box is booting slower now. That is not the desired development. But this is just a feeling - it's hard to measure it once you have upgraded.
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

I noticed as I went on with Cooker (almost two years), that boot time kept getting slower and slower with each kernel upgrade and release. I'm not into the "readahead" or any of that stuff; it was supposed to help make boot time faster, but instead, it got to where it booted with readahead, almost slower than 2008.1 did, and that's when I decided "y'know, life's too short for this... I'm done."
