Google prevails in Oracle java conflict

Postby viking60 » 03 Jan 2012, 23:10

Time to report from the patent war again. You may remember that Google was about to make a deal with Sun regarding the use of Java in Android.
They could not agree before Sun was sold to Oracle and Oracle went to court.
In the mean time Google developed Dalvik as a replacement for Java. Now the US Patent Office USPTO has rejected to review the patents with Oracle glasses.
That pretty much means that Oracle has lost this one.
