Iron browser for Mandriva!

Postby viking60 » 03 Sep 2010, 16:39

I was impressed with the chromium browser but I did definitely not like the spying. So I found SRwares Iron browser. It is an exact copy without the spying. No -difference.
Of course I installed it in Arch immediately but it was not in the Mandriva repos. So I made the request over at Mandriva. Beeing in this :mandriva: situation there was not much chance of success so I went to MiB with the request.
No fuss - they just delivered it according to my wishes.
And 32 bit too.
Great stuff :s

For all you with Mandriva it is time to urpme chromium-browser and install iron :!:
Download iron 64bit here
Download iron 32bit here

They are in the MiB basic repos.
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

Cool - I shall give it a go.
Past experience demonstrates best method to tighten bolts is to use appropriate size spanners.
