Microsoft in trouble with game producers.

Postby viking60 » 28 Sep 2012, 17:16

Microsoft want to adapt the Apple style control over every thing sold on their app platform so they have made some heavy duty restrictions where the Game producers have to get their products certified and turn over control to Microsoft.
Valve has already given Microsoft "the bird" and recently Microsoft asked the creator of the popular game Minecraft if he could certify his products for the Win 8 app store.

His respons was "stop trying to ruin the PC as an open platform" :B
He went on to write on his Twtter page that he would “rather have Minecraft not run on Win 8 at all than to play along," adding that “maybe we can convince a few people not to switch to Win 8 that way.”

The Microsoft dream of world domination is crumbling on....

Is time for software companies to stand up and start calling some of the shots.

I truly believe if the gaming industry takes a good turn to Linux it will bring a lot of young blood on board.
