I had to deal with this this morning. Evidently, it's not just Linux Mint 12 that is seeing the problem.
I am increasingly amazed at how easily things can get borked in Gnome 3. This should have been updated for Gnome 3 with the last update of Dropbox. So, well, maybe it's Dropbox devel's fault.

Actually that works in Arch - even with truecrypt. I think i works on Mandriva too but I have to start it manually there.
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.
