FLickering video

Postby viking60 » 28 Oct 2010, 01:15

I wanted to show of my desktop again. But with compiz the video flickers. I use the script in the tips section.

Is this normal or have I missed something?

I don't know if this would be it, but I have issues when I try to take a screenshot while the screen has motion in compiz - it comes out with large portions blacked out and messy. I wonder if something like refresh rate has anything to do with your issue?

Could be. Animations in compiz=bad for the video. I am not sure it can be avoided. Other than turning the animation off of course.
But I so wanted to brag with the rotating cube. And that sure flickers.
