Gave it a try.
The same thing happens after I have set it up it simply jumps out of Virtualbox.

Maybe it's a Vbox issue (missing package/dependancie) ? , no matter, have you play a bit more with in live (on a laptop in example) ?

It seems unlikely that it is an VBox issue since I have Manjaro Debian Centos Arch Suse, Mageia and Mandriva running there.
I even built a E19 environment from the Manjaro Net install as you have seen above.
Looks like an installer issue to me.
Of course it might be possible to tweak some VB settings but I would not know where...
