Hi Leenix, I am not that good with sound, so this one I will pass on to the sound gurus:
In my simple mind this is a way to do it:

To install Limewire all you have to do is unzip the LimeWireOther.zip file to your home directory.

You will then have a directory in your /home called LimeWire

To run Limewire all you have to do is open a terminal and type sh ~/LimeWire/runLime.sh

You will need to have Java installed.

Starting from a terminal every time is not very convenient so you should create a menu entry using the menu editor for whatever desktop environment you are using. The command for the executable will be
/home/youruser/LimeWire/runLime.sh

Limewire is now defunct, and moving towards a pay service. You will have to right-click this link, and tell it to open in a new tab, as it's an inter-forum link and won't otherwise - it will open in the same window and you'll lose this page. Use Frostwire - there is a tarball at the site (direct download), download it and extract it to /home, as viking said, and in the extracted folder will be the executable. Just double-click it.

As an added footnote to this, Limewire is junk anyway - Frostclick will run much better. There are far too many viruses and trojans on Limewire (yes, even Linux ones) to make it any kind of downloading alternative to anything, much less to have to pay for it. As another footnote, I use neither, as I don't download songs from them any more.

I am moving this last request to the help section.

I realize that it's much later now, but I'm wondering if the OP of this thread is banned for attempting to either sell stuff or for their devious pirating ways. Keylogging and making money off of keyword spying is not funny at all, and I'd hate to see anyone else doing this here, trying to get others to join their game. It would be nice to see their signature there disappear.

I'm also a tad confused on the Iron Browser title of the last post to this thread right above me here. This is a LimeWire thread, what Iron has to do with it... ?

I'll remove him with all his posts - which will make this thread look stupid.

...But worth it.

Done - closing this thread.
