Apple wins patent design case.

Macbook air has a shape that is now patented. The drop shape seems to be the big thing.
Apple has already stopped the producer Pegatron from producing any laps for Asus.
Intel will have to take a close look at their Ultrabooks too.
Apple is blocking everyone that resembles the design. Still I can understand that designs are patented, as opposed to software where patenting is like patenting a language.
I wonder if they came up with it though?

Haven't I seen it before in 2001 A space odyssey?

Yup. Either that, or Dune.

Wait. I'm almost sure it was in The Empire Strikes Back.
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.

Well, I understand the point; do not really agree on it, but....
But if I want to build some unique I rather make it look different.
We do not want Apple to capitalize on the design too +1

There are only so many shapes that you can use, Soon the Cube/Square/Sphere will be patented... NO THANKS, Stop patenting stuff, if your product is better it will sell, who cares if someone uses your shape!
