One thing about running Windows.

Came to find out that Sandboxie is still in development. IIRC, it started out as an open source proggie.

ImageLooks like a sensible piece of software. Why is it not standard?
It does eliminate the danger of viruses by isolating the programs in the confined area. So what is in the sandbox stays in the sandbox - including viruses.
Then they cannot hurt your system.
So what is the catch?
Is it slow?

Nope, and my daughter loves it, too. Many came to, back in their heyday. Just that most rely on AV and anti-trojan, anti-malware proggies that really do slow down the system these days, because y'know, a cool little open source program couldn't do any good. We have to spend billions of dollars on the so-called "good stuff". Sandboxie is one of the best proggies ever produced.
