The Linux file system

Linux does not have drive letters. So you do not have to go to c: In Linux it is / and that is it. This is the root of your system so it is called ...root :-D
Think of it as C:\ where we have removed the C: and replaced the back-shlash with a slash.

Yes I like it and it shows the structure where the files are put -if they are there. I remember that the lack of c:\ was confusing back in the stone ages, so I didn't know where to start.
