Yes it is possible! I have set it up. And even though I am hopeless with RSS-readers I have managede to put the latest posts in a Opera widget.
Here is the link.
feed.phpWe don't want do miss out on the goodies! Here is a video on how to use the infoRSS plugin in Firefox:

After having used SimpleRSSreader addon in Firefox for ages that is the one i can recommend now. Other suggestions are extremely welcome!

I have used Seamonkey since Netscape. I like having browser, mail agent, even html composer all together. RSS is not so much something I do, but I've been doing more of it, lately. What I like is that I just click on a feed link that interests me, like your
feed.php, and I am shown the following page. When I click to subscribe, the group is immediately created under Blogs & News Feeds of Seamonkey mail and the last 10 posts of the feed are downloaded there. That's pretty cool.

Ditto Rolf on Seamonkey Mail. Although I've dropped the browser, I still use Seamonkey Mail for email and RSS feeds.

PS: Actually it looks great in Opera too:

The only one that cannot take it here is Iron

Installing it in Mandriva now it sure does pull a lot of dependencies... Do you have a pic b1o?
I am unable to start it in Mandriva - going for an Arch install....
And there it starts and the feed is imported but it has problems to find a "browser" so I will have to take a look at xulrunner...

*wonders if Akregator works - used to use it a lot a few years back.
Edit: Yup, just tried it. Works fine.

Ok rssowl works in Arch but it gives the error of "not being able to create browser for reading news". This is because Arch has the latest version of xulrunner version 2 and rssowl can only work with version 1.9. Not sure I will downgrade on behalf of this software.... Mozilla has been running xulrunner 2 since version 4. And this pretty much rules out RSSowl I think

Having a look at akregator now....

Akregator is a KDE proggie btw. Should be at the top of the Internet menu in the kicker. Can't remember if it installs by default with KDE or not, but I had it already installed.
Edit: Ha!
The RSS extension for Chrome in Iron (on Arch Linux) works:

Edited due to whack post.
