Ahrg I tried to update mu 32 bit box with Mandriva cooker. In the middle of the update the update just froze. So i rebooted. And the result ?
We cant find our partitions. Probably a Kernel update again. I know I can fix it but I am actually thinking of taking the opportunity to switch to Arch.Dunno yet... Soon I would be Mandriva free. And I have hopes that 2010.1 can become good.

Sounds like you'd be better off running stable, if you don't have time for the breakage. I've been installing the alpha/betas, adding cooker sources, but only occasionally booting to that installation, when time is bountiful. 2010 x86_64 is reliable, as I've come to expect. I did just have a minor victory, building a git version of pan to overcome a bug in pan where certain images aren't displayed. (Attachment not shown: MIME type image/jpeg). It now seems to work. :A

I fixed it with my free usb-pen. Booted from it and chose rescue system. There you can reinstall grub.
I like Arch so much that I am looking for an excuse I guess.

Yep 2010 x86_64 is fine, it is staying on my main box.

Good job! Image

(I saw your 'main box' in your sig but had already made the reply, which was a lot of work! Besides, one step closer to Berserk-Guru!Image)

Exactly :!: As John Lennon put it: "A Guru-Berserk is something to be" :T And the free USB/DVD is really a good rescue tool (for 32 and 64 bit)
