boy what a homer simpson moment that was!

working on my son's lawn tractor i noticed a few parts that needed replaced!
so looked for the model tag and it was worn off!
i knew there were reference numbers on the engine but not always in the same places!
i was having a bit of a migraine at that moment and spent a half hour looking everywhere i could think of.
was about to give up then realized I HAD THE SAME MODEL TRACTOR IN MY OWN SHED!
looked at mine! yes a pristine model number tag, I recorded the info and for the heck of it looked at the motor!
AHA the number was at the base of the crank case( i recorded it for good measure)
went back out to my son's tractor and wiped the base of the motor
(THE MOTOR SERIAL NUMBERS WERE ONLY 3 DIGITS APART) they were the same lot number and made on the same day.

I just shook my head and forgone the face palm!

anyhow parts are ordered and should be good as new in a few days

moral of this story never work with a migraine they are a real headache in more ways than one!

3 spots apart, what are the odds of that?

Interesting, in my life, never had a migraine, not even a headache (knock on wood). I can only imagine how nasty is working with a pain in the head. Had co-workers suffering migraine that need it time off.

usually my migraines run on a scale of 1 to 5
1 being a mild one where it doesnt incapacitate me but makes me very irritable usually lasts about 3 hours!
i can usually handle 1,and 2 without being incapacitated!
3, and 4 can cause me severe nausia.
5 being the worst and i must take a powerful dose to knock me out. (cant turn my head in the slightest or end up screaming with pain)
luckily I can feel those coming on when the forehead feels numb and i take a dose and find a quiet dark place!

luckily I do not have them as often as I did when i was younger.

Migraines are a bitch!
