Ceasefire between Apple and Samsung outside the US

Apple and Samsung have been in conflict since 2011 when Apple accused Samsung of copying their "look and feel".
Now they have agreed to settle all cases outside the US an in South Korea, Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the U.K.
Apple and Samsung have agreed to drop all litigation between the two companies outside the United States.
This agreement does not involve any licensing arrangements, and the companies are continuing to pursue the existing cases in US courts.
Samsung and Apple have tried to block sales of each other's products all over the globe.
The winners are the lawyers.
In the US the Battle will continue.
It could be argued that the US patent system is as much on trial here as Apple and Samsung.
