iPhone5 will cause your banckruptcy

Postby viking60 » 10 Oct 2012, 19:24

Several users have complained that their iPhone5 was using the expensive 4g or whatever it is called even if it should have been connected to wifi. This does not work properly so the poor people are rewarded for the sleep-less nights in front of the Apple store with a gigantic invoice from their telecom provider.
Apple has started to send out patches...

That is limited to one provider you say?
I beg to differ:

I just got my wife a Galaxy 3 S and her old HTC Inspire does not have service and SIM chip.

Some cool just happen...

I fired up a the phone to test some.
Turns out that can still doing WiFi, can still getting to the Google Play Android Store and can use Skype to make an online call. Not only that, connected my PC with a webcam and used Skype. I was able to send Video and Voice to the Cell Phone now as a WiFi phone.

The only problem (if you want to call it that way) is not front facing cam that you can send video back.

On a past experience with my Blackberry...
I had an older model, just worked like a phone. The new one let me go online but AT&T disabled the WiFi so if you do not have a Data plan for that phone they will charge you by the bite. Had to call them back to get the Data Plan just to turn on the WiFi. Tethering is another joke. You have to pay extra to enable it even if you have an Unlimited Data Plan. Is that some BS or what?
