Recently i have been missing the computer games and all I have to play is a 6 year old computer. I have a mac but that can run games anywhere near as good as I would like it to. I kno of a lot of companies that make amazing gaming computers. Like alienware but I was just going to ask are there any good gaming computers out there for a relatively low price?
Stick with your console games... PC's are an awful platform for gaming. The whole point of PC based gaming is that there
is no low price. CPU, memory, and video requirements make it far more expensive than console gaming and so many gamers seem hell bent on getting fancy lights and clear cases and lame junk that costs plenty but doesn't improve their hardware performance at all. Then there is the fact that your console is probably plugged in to a 40" TV while your PC would be plugged in to a 24" monitor... oh you can plug your PC in to your TV but then you're only wasting the extensive abilities of your $400 specialized gaming video card (may as well be mining bitcoins with it). Anyone gaming on a PC should be doing so because the ability to play games is a side effect of having a PC (rather than buying a gaming PC with the side effect that it can run notepad and calc).

Have you ever played a non FPS game? PC IS the platform of choice for the bleeding edge technology and notably strategy games. If you ever found yourself with a copy of Starcraft II, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, Civilization 5, Europa Univeralis IV, Simcity, such and such , you would know immediately they'll never have a successful day on a console. Simply put, there are advantages to both systems. I personally prefer the PC as you can hook it up to your TV if you wanted to ( and plug in a game controller while you at it) but an Xbox your tied into Microsoft's crap services that happen to cost you $5 a month plus the 20% console "tax" on any game you buy. Here in the US, console games always retail at $60 (even the midgrade ones), PC games are usually always in the 39-49 bracket.
To go back to the question, I'm personally on my second alienware system (this time a laptop, the 2007 desktop still runs in perfect condition) as they are high performance very reliable machines. Dell also actually takes care of their alienware customers which might be why its the only non bleeding division in their business. Anyways I guess you could always try Ibuypower
http://www.ibuypower.com/ or you could just scan through ebay. I would honestly recommend keeping a close eye on sales (like march madness or back to school or whatnot) as with those you'll get a good deal AND a good system, as opposed to a poor one that has to be replaced the day after warranty is up. Goodluck with your search!
