I'm not sure that "clearing" /etc/cron.daily is the best way to configure msec.
I always use msec-gui (available in the MCC) and I don't recall ever having any problems.

I don't see any open bug report that might be relevant to dedanna's problems.
Problems with the mailing function may be down to the MTA being used. I use postfix which has always worked "out of the box" for me.

That's what I use, or thought I was.
Um, one HAS to clear cron.daily if they don't want cron running daily. There is no option in mcc for otherwise.

Works now, thanks. I guess the changes to make it work just had to catch up.

Although now, in MGA3, it's not mailing me again...
