Is not... that is either Product Placement or sheer stupidity.
Now days we have no news is pretty much either Native Advertising or Product Placement some like you just saw. On that case, I think is a popup and instead of saying nothing, she went ahead and pitched MS.
CNN uses the native advertisement model a lot.
