Nice plate from Kno

 | Kno has launched a plate with the Ubuntu OS. It has 16 Gigs and can be expanded. It still is early so there is not to much literature or apps for it yet. But it looks kind of promissing. |

It certainly is a good looking gadet. But I have a problem with this:
Plus, Kno backs up your whole educational career online – automatically
As usual. This depends on where "online" is and who is controlling it. Any one but ME would be a bad alternative.

Could this be the best Ubuntu twist so far?

b1o have you considered building apps for this one?
http://www.kno.com/support/apps I want an updated list over beer prices in Oslo and the exact address of the cheapest place

Now there is an Idea
All disappointed Linux users waiting for their free beer could go there (I know I never got mine).

Yeah, I never got mine either LOL
Insofar as the gadget goes, not for me thanks. I'm not into gadgets much. Even if Linux.

A buddy of mine just bought the Samsung Galaxy tab, It was realy fast and responsive, and i can see it's use as a gps/mail/sms writer, but not much else. though i guess it is nice for music and such too since it has quite good speakers

Wouldn't say that, no keyboard and less computing power

OK it can be used as a phone so that is good I guess. I'll stick to the big boxes and small phones. But I think this stuff can become very popular.
