Cinnamon 1.2 is out

Cinnamon wants to give the old Gnome2 flexibility back to Gnome3. So far it has been only a cosmetics. But now with version 1.2 you have back some windows effects (yes it is fashionable to be against them, but many love them), and the option to move your panels from bottom to top - or both.
This can be done by a new settings area, because right -click does not work.

The ambition is to get closer to the Gnome2 flexibility so now Cinnamon is drifting apart from Gnome-shell. Cinnamon now uses its own window manager (Muffin forks and replaces Mutter in Cinnamon 1.2).
It is only a start, but the directions and the steps taken show that this will be as close as you get on Gnome3.
