Looking for a program that can "un-pak" a file. Digging a lot in the web leads me to a lot of dead ends. My question is, what Linux application for Mageia 4 can do the job?
Maybe is in the wrong forum, admins, feel free to move the thread on a more suitable place if need it.

Moved to software.
Here is a python script that can take care of the pak files for you:
https://code.google.com/p/grit-i18n/sou ... ta_pack.pyIt is a python module that can unpack and repack the (.PAK) files.

The
izarc web page says it supports PAK (if you are willing to install wine).
Do you need to extract a single file or do you need it on an ongoing basis?

I have wine installed, so is not a big deal.
Installed that extactor before and said that is an
"Unsupported Archive Type". Pretty much stumped at this moment.

Is the file you need to extract is publicly available you could post a link to it and we could have a try at extracting and rearchiving with something a little less exotic?

It was a music file. Found another one that was un compressed.
Not solved, nor broke, just gave up an found a way around.
