 | Here is a comparison of the two. People tend to believe that LibreOffice and OpenOffice just have to be infrerior to MS Office. Both deliver real good Office software. It is the "free" syndrom that makes people think like this. I am convinced that if they put a price tag on LibreOffice tomorrow making it more expensive than MS-Office, then the experts would crawl out of the woodwork and praise the quality of LibreOffice. It is not inferior in any way to MS-Office. |

Free on IT Enterprise mind means Unsupported; therefore is not used.
To be honest, they should charge for purchasing a copy. Just to get the people to use it. Some like with the purchase of one box set for lets say $100 you are authorized to install it on 1,000 nodes with a support contract. Just to give them a warm fuzzy feeling.
The mentality is pretty much the expensive the better because you can piss and moan to whoever ripped you off.
You can take a shit in a shoe box and place a holographic seal of approval, with a License Key and a warranty and still shit. The difference is that people will paid for that authentic piece of shit and ignore the free shit on a bag.
