Spotify on Linux

Postby dedanna1029 » 02 May 2012, 23:11

Yes, I know you boys don't like it. We don't need to hear it. Let others decide if they want it or not. Thanks.

Spotify works in Linux. Make Use Of, one of my favorite sites, tells you how.

You are cheating. That does run under Wine/Play on Linux. You can run pretty much any Windows program with Wine.
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

Spotify will run on linux without wine if you use the payed version.
The same goes for WIMP, and WIMP has Pink Floyd, so overall better quality there.

I own all the music that i listen to on CD or Vinyl, so i have no need for a digital service
CPU: i7 950 3.1 ghz |RAM: 12 GB DDR3 |Graphics: Nvidia Geforce gtx 280 |motherboard: Rampage II Extreme |OS: Arch + windows7

Just remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question, until you ask it

Well, um, actually, I tried it on PlayOnLinux, and every time I start it up in it, it segfaults on me. Looks like I'll have to try it in wine or something. :P :f :berserkf

Yes, I know, but it has its own code on top of it. Something is clearly not right with this.
