I really like this gentleman's work. Well, like is kind of an understatement. Take the time to go through his videos. Notice in particular, the One Republic album (stuff from "Waking Up"), and the stuff he's doing now with his Disney series. I noticed earlier this evening that he tweeted about a particular Disney one. Definitely worth the view.
He's into Open Source, used to run Red Hat or Fedora (one of the two), IIRC. Not sure what he's running at the present time. Has a studio for his art on the coast of California. Worked his way up from homelessness (what's not to more than respect there, in this global economy), and is an overall good human being in general. He's on Facebook and Twitter.
Speed painting to me is amazing. When I took desktop publishing when I was going for my Associate's degree, it wasn't easy at all working with Disney software. One single mistake, one single pixel's worth of mistake, and the whole thing was shot. This guy goes at whole paintings like it's nothing.
Check him out in Painting Mickey Mouse:
This can also be found on his site.
Thank you Quinn Michaels for this gift you give to the world. I know that for me at least, it has brought me much peace, happiness, and contentment. <3
